WAYS TO MAKE A PLANNED GIFT TO THE METHOW HOUSING TRUST
There are many ways to make a planned gift. You’ll want to consult with your financial advisor and/ or an attorney. Here are the most simple and common ways to make a planned gift:
Leave a bequest in your will
You may designate a specific dollar amount, a particular asset, or a fixed percentage of your estate as going to a particular person or cause.
Pledge/ gift a portion of an asset
Retirement accounts (I.R.A.s and 401(K)s) and insurance policies ask that you identify beneficiaries. You could designate all or a portion of these assets to the Methow Housing Trust.
Donate from your annual IRA distribution
Depending on your age and the amount of annual distribution you are required to withdraw from your IRA, donating a portion of your distribution to the Methow Housing Trust can be a beneficial option.
Other kinds of planned gifts
We are happy to discuss other kinds of planned giving, and get you connected with resources to facilitate the process.
